2010 has been an extraordinary year for us. In a tough economy, we were fortunate to be able to push our product ideas forward and create a unique line of high end pedals with our Strymon division. We’re now shipping six Strymon pedals, all of which are built in our factory just north of Los Angeles, California, USA.
As you might already know, in 2009 we teamed up with Strymon to begin developing new products together. It went so well that Strymon became a part of Damage Control. We’re a tight knit team and both companies are stronger now as one.
We are very excited about the new direction that we’ve been moving in, and have decided that for the foreseeable future, all new Damage Control products will carry our Strymon name. This includes the new Damage Control products currently in development that you may have seen on our blog. We’re extremely excited about these and working feverishly on them.
Focusing on Strymon will allow us to best reflect our new ideas, innovation and vision in our products. It will also allow us to focus our communication with customers, artists and fans. We invite all of our devoted Damage Control fans to check out what we’re dreaming up with Strymon.
Of course, our dedicated customers will still be able to get support for their existing Damage Control pedals. Just visit our support page at www.damagecontrolusa.com/support.
Our goal is to create new paradigms is music electronics. We have a whole array of new projects brewing in the labs that we’re hard at work on. Huge thanks go out the customers and fans worldwide who have supported us through these crazy economic times. Without all of your support, we would not have been able to continue our dream of developing innovative music gear.
While the name may be different, we’re still the same five guys! Thanks for your support,
Gregg, Pete, Dave, Ethan, Terry

I can’t wait to see whats coming down the pipe. I bought the Timeline last year and REALLY wish I’d grabbed the Nexus. I’m needing a high-end mod that can cover off a few other pedals and free up space, but backed off on the modfactor until I see what is replacing the Nexus…are we gonna see something by year’s end or early 2011? Thanks.

Well, as owner of Damage Control stuff, i can’t say i blame you, you guys have done an excellent job with the entry of Strymon, so much so that i can see very good capitalization on the brand image. Good luck guys, excited to see what’s next.

Hey guys, now, does this mean future damage control products Wont carry the “Damage Control” name?? And is the New Damage Control pedals gonna have tubes in them like the old series? All in all, you guys are making great head-way on this new project as well.

You guys really helped me out when I needed a quick repair on a 2nd-hand Womanizer. Wishing you great success with Strymon!

A little disappointed. Damage Control will disappear the way Fender made Tacoma guitars disappeared after acquiring them.

Hi Jim, Damage Control isn’t going anywhere… it’s the same people, only releasing products with a different name! This doesn’t rule out potential future Damage Control branded gear. Thanks!

Guys, what gives? I got the Liquid Blues right before you quit the Damage Control products and it’s hands down the best pedal I’ve ever owned. I was going to get a couple more of your products and then they weren’t available. I don’t buy anything that isn’t tube so you guys are totally out for now. Why did you take the best pedals on the market and just stop making them? I don’t get it. It’s OK to add the Strymon line I suppose but I’ll never own one the way they are made now. Can you explain why with the renaissance of tube amps and pedals you would quit making the best on the market?

Hey there, glad you love your Liquid Blues! We started the Strymon line to try something new and to innovate in new ways. We still have a passion for tubes and hope to eventually make something that tube-only purists would love.
